22G: 0.9mm x 25mm /Large size (suitable for large animals)
24G: 0.72mm * 19mm /medium size (suitable for general body animals)
26G: 0.69mm * 13mm /trumpet (suitable for small and miniature animals)
PS: 24G is the most commonly used specification in pet hospitals.
Operation Steps
1. Choose relatively straight and elastic blood vessels to avoid switch joints.
2. The best angle of needle insertion is 15 degrees. Different needle holding methods can be selected according to personal habits. The needle enters the subcutaneous tissue and extends the blood vessel to 2-5 mm. If the transparent needle returns blood, the needle is stopped.
3. Push the soft needle into the blood vessel by using the protruding bolt handle at the needle position of the idle index finger. Do not pull out the hard needle to prevent blood reflux.
4. First soft needle fixation with adhesive tape.
5. Fixed the soft needle with the right thumb for the first time, so as to prevent the blood from flowing out after the hard needle was drawn out. Turn the heparin cap on the left hand for the soft needle.
6. After twisting the heparin cap, fix the needle body and wrap the tape. Don't twist the tape too tightly.
