Description
Surgical catgut suture (Plain and Chromic) is an absorbable sterile surgical suture composed of purified connective tissue (mostiy collagen) derived from either the serosal layer of beef (bovine) or the submucosal fibrous layer of sheep (ovine) intestines.
Plain Catgut suture is a sterile absorbable monofilament suture composed of purified collagen derived from either the serosal layer of beef (bovine) or the submucosal fibrous layer of sheep(ovine) intestines. The Plain Catgut suture undergoes a ribbon stage chromicisation and is treated with glycerin. The Plain Catgut sutures are available undyed from sizes: USP6/0-USP4.
The colour of Plain catgut absorbable Suture is beige. The size is USP 7/0 to USP 3.
